Radio Clock - Listen to 50,000 stations from around the world! App Reviews
Pros - Stable, Light-weight, SHOUTcast support. Cons - Update overdue, Favorites buggy, Cumbersom design. Overall, it’s the best radio app out there. I only wish the developers may update it soon.
Nice app but there are some issues. If you select the station from the list it works OK, but when you turn it off and on again program says that it cannot make stable connection. The same problem appears when you try to select the station from favorites. It is really hard to use because you must search the station every time you want to select it.
non si connette ad internet
Non riesce a connettersi ad internet, per fortuna che almeno radio deejay e m2o son riuscito a trovarle fra le top100
Master
very nice app, keep going guys . I want new features and graphics to the next update
Пользовался раньше, все работало. На Mountain Lion постоянно выдает Internet Connection Error. Всегда нравилось это приложение, в данный момент – полный провал. Dear developers, please fix permanent "Internet connection error" in Mountain Lion. This app used to be really good and i truly hope so it will be. Thanx.
Developers, please add feature "auto reconnect" after losing connection. The user is not interested in message “Can’t Connect to the Station”. Just reconnect again and again (if need). Please!!
Замечательная программа! Быстрый, очень простой и очень широкий поиск станций, аккуратное окно — абсолютно все, что было нужно, плюс будильник с часами )) It’s very simple, useful, very fast searching app with pretty small window — absolutely right thing for the radio app purposes and, plus, it has the alarm clock — just amazing!
Non Connette allo stream Completo di Shoutcast, piacevole la grafica, ma non promette il dovuto, assolutamente no 50.0000 station from around the world….
Beautiful radio clock!!
I love it!
Wow~
its so fantastic app. If you find the app for listening the radio, im sure its best app ever. id like to recommend this app to you.
Had this app about a week: 1. The calendar function not working properly - currently showing day of week incorrectly. 2. Saved some stations as favorites and went to play the station again and found it was a different station.
I am using Macbook Pro, latest version, and I have to say I have not had any problems so far. Great app. I tried apps like Radium and Radioline (trials) before and this app (it is much cheaper, too) is my favorite. Trouble-free experience, hope it will stay this way!
Love the way it looks, love the simplicity, and as long as you look up the station in the main listing, it works. But if you save a station in the favorites, when you go back to it, it either doesnt work or connects to some random station. So the favorites list is broken. Please fix this and Ill up the stars to 5. Bonus points if you add the ability for users to import their own streams.
Well I get this Ap enthusiasticly but is not working well, I can not get into set up to get radio station fron really all over the world but is not working, then I updated to a HD version which means I paid again and nothing happends, is not working….
This is absolutely nice app. BUT, I dont know why this mac OS version does not have the alarm function which is able in iOS version. I really miss the alarm function of iOS version. Everything except that, Very Nice.
I thought this was meant to be an alarm clock as well. Unless its poorly designed and Im not able to intuit something or other, I feel a little deceived. The iPhone version clearly has an alarm feature built in--am I wrong in assuming that a desktop version would contain the same functionality when it comes to something as basic as setting an alarm? Still the app is great at picking up radio stations. I dont however appreciate the ambiguous loading. You guys are trying to be cute with a mockup of an old radioset but the listener is left with no idea as to how long if at all the station they selected will finish buffering. This software could be great, and its core functionality in pulling in radio stations for elsehwhere is decent, but I expect this poor quality from free apps, not paid ones. --------- Id like to add that after attempting to use it for a few days, Ive found the radio station reception to be even spottier than I had previously thought. Sometimes no station will come in for hours at a time, no matter how many I try.
I want to like this app. The favorites will not bring up the station marked, a random station plays. Shoutcast is good about showing the broadcasters bit rate, some stations have as many as three. Higher bitrate=higher quality and more data used. This is not a iPhone app so the station results needs to be wide enough to show the bitrate, it is not. With these things repaired Radio Clock could be a nice convenience on the computer. PS. I have never seen ALL internet streamers in one app (or website) of any kind as some folks want, broadcasters are to segmented.
the only thing I see that would hold back a perfect review is that there are not enoug local stations here in LA and Southern California. I dont know why they are limited, but its still great to listen to the radio form my computer. I rated it in the middle based on those facts.
I have the ipad version for a while and it works very well. The Mac version is polar opposite, in fact it does not work at all. Despite a deinstall and reinstall, the program starts, the menus appear but no UI. Hence, you cant use it. On top, Ensight has no support section on their internet site. Dont waste your money on the Mac version.
This is an elegant looking application with a great simulated analog clock and fake static while tuning the simulated analog dial. Audio quality is quite good through my Bose USB speakers. A couple of suggestions. 1. the station call letters list is organized by State, but there are no city indications so if you are looking for a station in another state to hear local news, like New Orleans during a hurricane for example, it is hard to figure out which station to choose. 2. Here in CALI where I am familiar with the stations, it seems like the conservative AM talk stations I like are missing. Is this an accidental over site or by design? For example, KFBK is the largest news and talk station in Sacramento where I live, but it is curiously absent from the station list. So is KFI in Los Angeles, another power house talk station. Even the Political section of the ShoutCast appears to have been scrubbed of "certain points of view". I have a radio here in the room so I can still choose the local stations, but if they will not have the diversity in programming, why have the app? Many of these stations can be streamed so the radio is not really needed, but for .99 on sale, it is worth it cause it looks so cool.
